The Subcommittee identified seven different priority project types to pursue.
- Direct funding to existing State energy efficiency loan programs or special projects
- Facilitate development of new windfarms
- Funding infrastructure and identifying customers for landfill/CAFO/biomass methane projects
- Installing renewable energy power to provide electricity to ethanol (E-85)
refueling stations and truck stop electrification (TSE) stations
- Completion of technical templates for solar hot water heater and ground source heat pump applications
- Development of detailed, geographic information system (GIS)-based wind and
other renewable resources maps for the 10-State Blue Skyways region
- Capitalize on developing opportunities (e.g., fuel cells, green power purchases,
private sector financing)
