Port of Houston Approves Landscaping Project

(HOUSTON, TX - November 28, 2006) - The Port Commission of The Port of Houston Authority approved a $663,493 construction contract with BIO Landscaping & Maintenance Inc. for the landscaping of constructed Phase I sight and sound berms at Bayport.

The project will create a berm on the portion of Port property that will buffer port operations and construction activities from the adjacent neighborhood. It will control noise from Port operations and provide a more natural setting for view along the exterior road.
