  Askew makes several comments commemorating the achievements of Blue Skyways and new Collaborative partners.

The Department was recognized as a new Blue Skyways partner for their work providing education and awareness on using alternative fuel - biodiesel - for off-road vehicles to reduce air emissions.

USI has reduced the top speed of their truck fleet from 72 to 65 miles per hour ad they are installing auxiliary power units in their entire fleet of 70 trucks.

 

     
 

Scott Zaremba, Zarco 66 Earth Friendly Fuels, poses with Askew after receiving recognition for partnering with the Blue Skyways Collaborative. Zarco offers normal gasoline, ethanol blends and both on-road and off-road biodiesel to the public at the pump. The fuel station has removed high energy lights and has included recycling and reuse methods into the landscaping ad every day operation. The future of the Zarco station will include alternative energy sources and public educational of environmental topics through videos on gas pumps.
